About Autism at Maltby

At Maltby Centre, we have been providing autism services to Ontarian’s for more than 25 years. We’re an accredited, full-service agency with mental health supports.

Our autism services, programs, and workshops at the Maltby Centre are available to Early Learners (under age 6), and up to 18 years of age.

As the leading provider of Behavioural Services in the KFL&A region, Maltby Centre is committed to making this transition as easy as possible for your family. And we will do so without compromising our service or dedication to your family.

Your child or youth with Autism has unique strengths and challenges. Our qualified, experienced clinical staff provide a family-centred, evidence-based approach. We are driven to offer support to encourage strengths and support growth in the most effective way.

Fee for service (FFS)

Our Maltby team is knowledgeable, skilled, and able to help you navigate through the Fee for Service system and make choices that work best for you. We have a range of services, packages, and package prices to meet your needs.

Services for Early Learners (under 6 years)

We offer a range of one-on-one and group services for Early Years, both in our centre and in the classroom setting.

Services for Children and Youth (5 – 18 years)

Our Children and Youth services are individualized and customized towards your needs and are offered one-on-one, in groups, and in a variety of different settings.

Services for Caregivers

We offer workshops and coaching to caregivers that focus on relevant topics like Introduction to ABA, sleeping, toileting, as well as guidance on accessing community services.

Autism Roles

  • Program Managers

    Program Managers have several years of leadership experience. They are responsible for supporting the clinicians who work with you and your child, ensuring you receive our best care.

  • Program Leads

    Program Leads are also Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA). They provide consultation and support on the day-to-day clinical work that therapists are doing with your child.

  • Clinical Supervisors

    Clinical Supervisors are Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA). They lead the development of an evidence-based behaviour plan and oversee, lead, and train the therapists who deliver applied behaviour analysis services to your child or youth.

  • Family Support Workers

    Family Support Workers have several years experience and in-depth knowledge about autism. They provide you with introductory and foundational information about autism and function as the link between you and your child’s services.

  • Therapists

    Therapists are experienced in working with children and youth with Autism. They provide applied behaviour-based programs, including intensive early behavioural intervention, to your child or youth.

  • Consultants

    Consultants have several years experience and in-depth knowledge of Autism and school environments. They provide services to support the learning needs of your child when they are transitioning from intensive early behavioural intervention to school. They build capacity for school staff in understanding autism through consultation, training and access to resources to school in order to help your child to improve their learning.

  • Program Assistants

    Program Assistants provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient functioning in all services areas.
