How Mental Health Support works at Maltby

We are invested in supporting children and youth and believe that through a collaborative approach we can offer each child, youth and family the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

STEP 1 – YOUR CONCERNS

Our first conversation with you is a chance to begin to understand your mental health concerns and work together to find some next steps. Many families experience improvements after this one session!

STEP 2 – YOUR PLAN

The next step is to build a plan that will work for you. Together, we identify the issues that you are hoping to resolve, what works best for you, what methods will be used, and the outcome that you can expect. The treatment plan can range from a single session to many sessions and may include intensive home services.

STEP 3 – YOUR JOURNEY

Once treatment begins, together you and your Mental Health Counsellor will regularly review if the services put in place are helping to resolve the issues. We will continue to work with you to make adjustments to your plan to best meet your needs.

STEP 4 – YOU’RE ON TRACK

Once you feel better able to manage the mental health issues that brought you to Maltby, your services will wrap up. If at anytime you need us again, we are here for you.
